What is the second law of motion?

The second law of motion, also known as Newton's second law, states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied on it and inversely proportional to its mass. In simpler terms, it explains how force, mass, and acceleration are related. When a force acts on an object, it causes the object to accelerate. The greater the force, the greater the acceleration, and the greater the mass, the smaller the acceleration. This law essentially states that an object will accelerate in the direction of the applied force, and the magnitude of acceleration depends on the mass and amount of force acting on it.
